Where Wedding Memories Begin...

Traditional formality aside, there are many alternatives and various combinations of wedding style that are acceptable. Regardless of how formal, semi-formal, or informal a wedding you are planning, it is best to keep style, theme and color similar throughout. You should try to maintain the wedding theme from the invitation through the reception.

Formal and informal weddings may take place during the day or evening. Your wedding style should reflect the personalities and desires of you and your fiancé.

The number of guest invited, time of ceremony, and the brides attire all play a role in determining the degree of formality for the entire wedding party. One constant factor for deciding your wedding theme & style will be your budget.

Formal

Formal weddings are very popular. Besides being held in a place of worship, they may be held in a home or garden. They include all the traditional elements; bridal gown, attendants, formal invitations, photography, music, floral displays, and a served sit-down dinner.

Semi-Formal

Location choices for both ceremony and reception may vary but often are held at the same venue. Engraved invitations do not have to include separate response cards (R.S.V.P.'s will be higher if one is included). Semi-formal weddings usually have fewer attendants and choices for wedding attire and flowers may be less traditional.

Informal

There is a wide range and variety for informal weddings. They can be as special as the most expensive formal event. Many informal weddings are second marriages. Invitations may be hand-written. The site for the ceremony may be a private home or garden. A social after the ceremony may include refreshments.
